Lufthansa to Resume Flights to Kazakhstan After 5-Month Hiatus

German airline Lufthansa is set to restart regular flights to Kazakhstan, reconnecting Europe with Almaty and Astana after a five-month suspension.

Starting March 29, 2026, the airline will operate five weekly flights to Almaty and four to Astana from Frankfurt am Main, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The Airbus A340-300 aircraft will feature a three-class cabin - business, premium economy, and economy - providing flexible options for both leisure and business travelers. Flights will include direct routes and round-trip connections, allowing seamless onward travel across Europe and North America.

The suspension, which began on October 26, 2025, will finally end, restoring vital air links and supporting growing tourism and business exchanges between Germany and Kazakhstan.
