The internal affairs agencies registered 6,536 cases of domestic violence in four months of 2025. This is 36% higher than last year, The Caspian Post informs via AkiPrees.
The police issued 4,967 restraining orders against individuals who committed domestic violence. 1,708 reports on domestic violence were drawn up.
538 people were sentenced to community service, 824 people were arrested.
Criminal cases were initiated for 165 cases of domestic violence, including 11 for murder, 10 for causing serious bodily harm, 7 for causing less serious harm to health, 7 for torture, 1 for threatened violence to life and health, 8 for rape, 6 for sexual assault, and 15 for domestic violence.
