EDB Estimates Kyrgyzstan's GDP Growth at 13.1% in First Quarter

Kyrgyzstan's economy showed strong growth in the first quarter of 2025, with GDP rising by an estimated 13.1% from January to March, according to the Eurasian Development Bank.

EDB analysts note that during the first three months of this year, the key driver of the economy was high consumer activity - "domestic trade increased by 10.5%, the volume of services provided by hotels and restaurants - by 25.1%," The Caspian Post reports citing Kabar.

Against this background, there is a significant increase in lending from commercial banks. The volume of new loans in January-March increased by 48.6%, compared to the same period last year.
