The Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (KSE) has participated in the 64th General Assembly of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), one of the world’s leading financial gatherings.
During the event, the KSE delegation held productive meetings with the management of the Istanbul Stock Exchange, where both sides discussed ways to expand cooperation and deepen financial integration between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
A key highlight was the announcement that the Istanbul Stock Exchange has increased its equity stake in the KSE, underscoring growing trust and a strengthening strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye’s financial institutions.
The parties also agreed to continue making joint efforts in developing the precious metals market, including plans to expand gold trading and draft a joint roadmap for cooperation in this sector.
The WFE General Assembly, which brings together more than 250 participants from 90 countries, serves as a major platform for discussing global trends and innovations in capital markets.
Kyrgyzstan was represented by KSE Board Chairman Talantbek Omuraliev and Acting President Aida Chodulova, who emphasized the country’s growing role in regional financial cooperation.
