Kyrgyzstan’s jewelry industry is set to gain a major boost as local jewelers prepare to undergo professional training at Bvlgari, following an agreement reached during a working visit to Italy by Chairman of the State Tax Service Almambet Shykmamatov.
The initiative was agreed during negotiations held on the sidelines of Vicenzaoro, one of the world’s largest international business-to-business (B2B) jewelry exhibitions, hosted in the Italian city of Vicenza, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
At a meeting with Eleonora Rizzuto, Director of Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility at Bvlgari Group and LVMH Italia, the Kyrgyz delegation presented the current state of the country’s jewelry sector along with government measures designed to support its development.
Talks focused on upgrading professional skills and introducing international standards into Kyrgyzstan’s jewelry industry. The sides agreed to organize specialized training programs for Kyrgyz jewelers at Bvlgari, giving them access to modern technologies, advanced production techniques, and best practices in quality control and design.
According to the State Tax Service, cooperation with one of the world’s leading luxury jewelry brands is expected to significantly improve workforce training, strengthen the export potential of Kyrgyz jewelry products, and help lay the groundwork for a full-cycle jewelry manufacturing industry in the country.
Vicenzaoro brings together leading global jewelry manufacturers, brands, equipment suppliers, and industry experts, making it a key platform for forging international partnerships. Bvlgari, founded in Rome in 1884 by Greek jeweler Sotirio Bulgari, is today one of the world’s most renowned luxury brands, operating more than 300 boutiques worldwide and serving as a flagship of the global jewelry industry.
