Kyrgyz President Condemns Attack on Putin’s Residence

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has voiced serious concern over reports of an attack on the official residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Novgorod.

Japarov noted that such incidents are alarming as they undermine ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Earlier, multiple media outlets reported a possible attack on Putin’s residence, drawing international attention amid continued negotiations aimed at de-escalating the conflict in Ukraine.

Kyrgyzstan, consistent with its stance, urges dialogue and the preservation of diplomatic channels. Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have also condemned the attack. On December 30, Putin held phone calls with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, both of whom strongly denounced the provocation and emphasized the threat to regional stability and peace efforts.
