Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov has dismissed three key cabinet ministers in a major government reshuffle, signaling continued changes at the highest levels of state leadership.
The decision led to the removal of the ministers of emergency situations, transport and communications, and natural resources, ecology, and technical supervision, The Caspian Post reports via the Kyrgyz presidential administration.
Emergency, transport, and environment ministers removed
Boobek Azhikeev, who had served as minister of emergency situations since 2020, was relieved of his duties after nearly five years in the role. His tenure included overseeing disaster response, civil protection, and emergency preparedness across the country.

Part of broader leadership changes
The dismissals follow earlier high-level changes in Kyrgyzstan’s security leadership. Previously, President Japarov also removed Kamchybek Tashiev from his position as head of the State Committee for National Security, one of the country’s most powerful institutions.
