Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has said that fraud emerged as one of the most widespread and dangerous crimes today.
President Japarov made these remarks at the fourth People’s Kurultai, warning of its growing impact on society, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The head of state noted that financial, property-related, digital, and everyday forms of fraud have become increasingly common, leading citizens to lose money, property, and often their life savings. He added that a significant number of appeals related to fraud are now addressed directly to the president.
“Fraud destroys families, undermines trust in the state, and poisons society,” Japarov said, stressing that such crimes are not just legal violations but direct threats to people’s safety and well-being.
The president assured that the state would take a firm stance against all forms of fraud. He called for stronger oversight, more effective work by law enforcement agencies, and the application of strict legal measures against those responsible.
“State authorities are obliged to protect citizens from criminals who exploit people’s trust or take advantage of difficult circumstances for personal gain,” Japarov concluded.
