Kyrgyzstan Aims to Double Agricultural Exports by 2030

Executive Director of the Agro-Industrial Development Association of the Kyrgyz Republic Rustam Baltabaev has said that Kyrgyzstan is setting ambitious goals for its agro-industrial sector - the country plans to double its agricultural exports by 2030.

Speaking at a panel session during the KyrgyzTransLogistic 2025 International Exhibition, Baltabaev emphasized that the initiative follows the presidential decree “On Additional Measures for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex,” which approved more than 35 key measures to boost export promotion, agricultural processing, and investment attraction, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

“The President has set the goal: by 2030, we must double exports, and by 2040, increase the processing level to 50 percent,” Baltabaev said.

He stressed that effective transport and logistics systems are vital to achieving these targets. “When we talk about exports, we must understand they are directly tied to logistics. Without solving these issues, sustainable growth is impossible,” he added.

The initiative highlights Kyrgyzstan’s growing focus on modernizing its agro-industry, improving infrastructure, and positioning itself as a competitive player in regional and global food markets.
