Kyrgyzstan has emerged as one of the top five importers of Russian chocolate in early 2025.
Figures show that from January to April 2025, Russia’s chocolate exports were concentrated largely among neighboring countries, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The top five markets for Russian chocolate during this period were:
Kazakhstan - $78.3 million
Azerbaijan - nearly $23.5 million
Uzbekistan - $21.5 million
Kyrgyzstan - $14.7 million
Georgia - $8 million
In addition to strong demand from Central Asia and the South Caucasus, interest in Russian chocolate has surged globally. Notably, Bulgaria’s imports quadrupled year-on-year, while Saudi Arabia’s demand nearly doubled over the same period.
