Sadyk Sher-Niyaz, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the French Republic, and Catherine Hervieu, a member of the French National Assembly and chairperson of the France-Central Asia friendship group, met in Paris.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the parties discussed key areas of Kyrgyz-French cooperation, focusing on intensifying political dialogue and strengthening inter-parliamentary ties. The ambassador expressed hope for high-level visits between the two countries this year, The Caspian Post reports citing Kabar.
Particular attention was paid to expanding trade and economic cooperation. In particular, they discussed cooperation with leading French energy companies such as EDF, TotalEnergies and Voltalia, as well as partnership opportunities in the pharmaceutical and aviation sectors.
In the humanitarian sphere, the ambassador emphasized the importance of developing cultural and educational exchange, noting Kyrgyzstan's interest in expanding academic and cultural programs jointly with the French side. Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening multifaceted cooperation and expressed their readiness to further deepen bilateral dialogue.
