Kyrgyzstan and China strengthen cooperation in medical education and science.
The press service of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the delegation of the ministry headed by First Deputy Minister Manas Toktomuratov and the Minister's Advisor Elnura Boronbaeva paid a working visit to the People's Republic of China as part of their participation in the International Forum on Medical Innovation and Cooperation - 2025, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kabar.
In the first half of the day, the International Forum ended in the city of Fangchenggang, where representatives of Asian countries and other regions discussed key issues in the field of medical innovation, insurance and digitalization of healthcare systems.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited the Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine in Nanning, where a ceremony was held to exchange signed copies of the memorandum of understanding between the Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine and Kyrgyz State Medical Academy.
During the event, Manas Toktomuratov made a speech, emphasizing the importance of deepening inter-university and scientific cooperation.
"Today's meeting is of particular importance for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of medicine and education. We are confident that initiatives such as the signing of a memorandum between our universities will become a solid foundation for joint educational programs, scientific research and exchange of experience between students and teachers. This is an important step towards improving the quality of medical education and healthcare in our countries." The signed memorandum provides for the implementation of joint scientific projects, academic exchanges, as well as deepening cooperation in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and general medical education. The document symbolizes the mutual commitment of Kyrgyzstan and China to long-term humanitarian and professional partnership.
