Kyrgyzstan is opening 20 additional polling stations abroad to ensure citizens living overseas can cast their votes in the snap parliamentary elections on November 30.
The new stations bring the total number abroad to 91, with 14 in Russia, 2 in Kazakhstan, and one each in South Korea, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Previously, 71 polling stations had been approved in countries including Russia, Türkiye, the US, and South Korea.
Election campaigning will run from November 10 until 8 a.m. (GMT+6) on November 29, with official results expected by December 14. This move reflects Kyrgyzstan’s effort to make voting more accessible for its diaspora ahead of the eighth convocation of Jogorku Kenesh (Supreme Council).
