Kyrgyzstan has announced a temporary ban on the export of oil and oil products beyond the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The decision comes through an order issued by the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers and signed by Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
The export restrictions specifically apply to oil (classified under EAEU Commodity Nomenclature code 2709) and oil products (code 2710) transported by road and rail.
However, the ban exempts fuel oil and heating oil, also under code 2710, produced by domestic refineries, allowing their continued export despite the restrictions.
This latest measure follows a previous temporary ban announced by Kyrgyzstan on the export of catalysts and precious metal waste, signaling the country’s ongoing efforts to regulate strategic exports.
