Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait Review Bilateral Cooperation at Fourth Political Consultations in Kuwait City

Senior officials from Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait have convened in Kuwait City for the fourth round of political consultations between the two countries' foreign ministries.

The talks were led by Temirbek Erkinov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, and Samih Isa Zhaukhar Hayat, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kuwait, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The two delegations reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation in key areas such as political dialogue, trade, economic development, cultural exchange, and humanitarian engagement. Both sides emphasized the importance of organizing high-level reciprocal visits to further strengthen diplomatic relations.

The consultations also resulted in a mutual agreement to intensify collaboration in trade, investment, and legal frameworks, aiming to create a stronger foundation for long-term economic cooperation.

In addition to bilateral issues, the parties discussed pressing international and regional developments, expressing shared interest in promoting regional security and stability. Both sides highlighted the importance of joint action to address emerging global threats, including those in the security and economic spheres.

They also pledged to maintain close coordination within international organizations, such as the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and reaffirmed their commitment to mutual diplomatic support in multilateral settings.

This round of consultations reflects Kyrgyzstan’s continued engagement with Gulf nations. In a related development, Kuwaiti conglomerate Al Ghanim Industries recently expressed interest in investing in Kazakhstan, signaling Kuwait’s expanding footprint in Central Asia.
