During the state visit of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh to Kyrgyzstan, the two presidents signed a series of important bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening their strategic partnership across multiple sectors.
Central to the visit was the signing of a Joint Declaration on Establishing a Comprehensive Partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia, underscoring their commitment to closer collaboration, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The agreements and memoranda signed encompass a wide range of fields:
Extradition Treaty facilitating legal cooperation
Mutual recognition and exchange of driver’s licenses to ease cross-border travel
A Cooperation Program for 2026-2027 between the two Foreign Ministries
Partnership in wool processing between relevant agricultural ministries
Cultural cooperation to deepen ties through arts, sports, tourism, and youth programs
Digital innovation collaboration between Ministries of Digital Development
Strategic and security research cooperation
Academic partnerships between leading universities and research institutes
Regional cooperation between local government offices in Naryn (Kyrgyzstan) and Darkhan-Uul (Mongolia)
Media collaboration between national news agencies and broadcasters
Joint scientific research between national academies and archaeological institutes
