Kyrgyzstan has opened a new data center to support digital information systems in the country’s agricultural sector.
The project was developed with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) under the initiative “Improving Livestock Product Safety by Implementing a Comprehensive Intelligent Traceability System”, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
The center will serve as a key infrastructure platform to ensure the stable, secure, and uninterrupted operation of the Ministry of Water Resources’ digital systems, including the Animal Identification and Tracking System (AITS) and the Sanarip VET Automated Information System.
Designed to improve data reliability and security, the facility will enhance veterinary services, livestock management efficiency, and the transparency and traceability of animal products. Authorities highlighted that the center will also strengthen coordination between information systems and national digital platforms, supporting the sustainable growth of agriculture-focused technologies.
Earlier, Bishkek also launched a new waste processing plant, part of broader infrastructure modernization efforts.
