Kyrgyzstan's Civil Aviation Agency has revoked the operating license of domestic airline Tez Jet following a serious incident involving one of its aircraft at Manas International Airport on July 7.
The decision came after an unscheduled safety inspection uncovered violations that directly affected flight safety, The Caspian Post reports via vesti.kg.
The findings left no alternative but to cancel the airline's operating license.
"The Civil Aviation Agency will continue to take the strictest and most principled decisions against any operator whose activities pose a risk to flight safety. Regardless of an airline's name, history, market position, or size, the law applies equally to everyone," the agency said.
The investigation was launched after a Tez Jet aircraft operating a Bishkek-Osh flight tilted onto its side during takeoff at Manas International Airport. The incident prompted an immediate inquiry into its causes, leading to the regulator's latest enforcement action.
