During an official working visit to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia, Russia), Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Edil Baysalov, has met with Aysen Nikolayev, Head of the Republic of Sakha, to discuss the current state and future prospects of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between their regions.
The talks included joint initiatives across culture, economy, agriculture, and sports sectors. Particular focus was placed on strengthening people-to-people diplomacy and preserving their shared historical and cultural heritage, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.
Baysalov underscored the growing ties between the fraternal peoples, highlighting that relations between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Sakha are developing dynamically, rooted in friendship and mutual respect.
During his visit, Baysalov paid tribute by laying flowers at the monument of Maxim Ammosov, a prominent Yakut statesman who led the autonomous Kara-Kyrgyz region within the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR) and played a pivotal role in the foundation of Soviet statehood in Kyrgyzstan.
The Kyrgyz delegation is also taking part in the XXII Manchary Games’ ceremonial events, which celebrate the strength of national spirit and the unity of Russia’s diverse peoples.
