Kyrgyzstan, Thailand Introduce Visa-Free Travel for Diplomats

Kyrgyzstan and Thailand will allow visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic and service passports.

The agreement, signed on September 27, 2024, in New York, between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of Thailand, will come into force on January 2, 2026, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

Under the new rules, official representatives of both countries can enter, exit, and temporarily stay without a visa. Diplomatic and service passport holders may stay in the partner country up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

The visa-free regime aims to simplify border procedures, strengthen political dialogue, and facilitate working visits by government officials between the two nations.
