Kyrgyzstan to Build Trade, Logistics Hubs in Russia, Kazakhstan

Kyrgyzstan is moving to strengthen its export infrastructure with plans to build major trade and logistics centers in Russia and Kazakhstan, boosting regional supply chains for agricultural products.

A large-scale logistics complex with a storage capacity of up to 20,000 tons will be constructed in Novosibirsk. The project’s feasibility study is currently being developed in cooperation with the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

"Kyrgyz Export" Export Promotion and Development Center Deputy Director Tilek Zhumaliev explained that the center will not only store Kyrgyz agricultural products - including fruits and vegetables - but also provide sorting and processing services. The facility will feature modern warehouses, temperature-controlled storage zones, and rapid shock-freezing chambers.

Officials say the Novosibirsk hub will serve as a distribution gateway for goods heading to the Ural region, including major cities such as Yekaterinburg and Omsk, as well as retail chains across other Russian regions.

In parallel, Kyrgyzstan plans to build a similar logistics center near Almaty in Kazakhstan. A land plot of 10-20 hectares has already been allocated for the project.
