Kyrgyzstan-UK Trade Partnership Achieves New Peak

Trade between the UK and Kyrgyzstan surged in 2025, reaching £184 million ($246 million) in the year ending Q2, up 21.1 per cent from the previous year.

UK exports to Kyrgyzstan jumped sharply to £101 million ($135 million)-an 83.6 per cent increase-while imports from Kyrgyzstan fell 14.4 per cent to £83 million ($111 million), The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Despite this growth, Kyrgyzstan remains the UK’s 139th largest trading partner, accounting for less than 0.1 per cent of total UK trade.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyz FDI in the UK rose to £402 million ($539 million), up 8.4 per cent from 2022. The development comes as Kyrgyzstan also plans to expand agricultural exports to China, signaling broader ambitions to strengthen its global trade footprint.
