Skills Caravan Brings Career Opportunities and Training to Kyrgyzstan’s Doorsteps

From September 30 to October 31, Kyrgyzstan is hosting the Skills Caravan, a large-scale program aimed at providing hands-on training and career guidance to residents across the country.

The initiative is led by the Swiss Cheber: Skills Development project in partnership with the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration and the Ministry of Education, The Caspian Post informs via Kyrgyz media.

Organizers report that hundreds of participants have already benefited from the Caravan, gaining valuable knowledge about in-demand professions and improving their employment opportunities.

“Participants come from diverse fields such as craftsmanship, carpentry, and cooking-professions that are especially important in rural areas. Many attendees have even been motivated to start their own businesses,” said Irysbek Shadybekov, a public speaking and social media management trainer from Osh.

Christian Wagner, head of the Cheber project, emphasized the importance of practical training for rural communities. “Many rural residents struggle to access reliable information about which skills are currently in demand and where to receive training. The Skills Caravan brings this knowledge directly to those who need it most,” Wagner stated.

Organizers stress that personal and professional development is a lifelong process and encourage everyone to continue learning, no matter where they are.
