A shocking street attack has been reported in Türkiye's Maltepe, where a man violently assaulted a woman following an argument, with the incident unfolding in front of bystanders.
The attack took place around 12:40 p.m. (GMT+3) in the Küçükyalı neighborhood, The Caspian Post reports via Turkish media.
According to reports, the suspect grabbed the woman and attempted to forcibly drag her away. When she resisted, he pulled her by the hair and punched her, leaving her in tears before she began to fight back.
Witnesses say a passing motorcycle courier briefly tried to intervene but soon left the scene. The attacker continued walking with the woman while shouting at people who were recording the incident on their phones.
The situation escalated further when the suspect turned on a bystander who confronted him, reportedly attacking the man and arguing with others who tried to step in. A physical altercation followed with another individual attempting to stop the attack.
The entire incident was captured on a mobile phone camera, sparking concern over public safety and bystander intervention in such situations.
