On December 17, President Sadyr Zhaparov of Kyrgyzstan received credentials from the ambassadors of several countries accredited with residence in third countries.
The ambassadors included Christopher Duggan of Canada, Luis Francisco Martinez Montes of Spain, Jaap Ora of Estonia, Mohamed Irki of Algeria, Jemal Beker Abdullah of Ethiopia, Juan Fernando Lugris Rodriguez of Uruguay, and Rosalba Lo Bue Antico of Venezuela, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Kyrgyz president's website.
The ceremony began with the Guard of Honor greeting the heads of foreign diplomatic missions, after which the ambassadors presented their credentials to President Zhaparov.
In his welcoming address, President Zhaparov congratulated the ambassadors on the official start of their diplomatic missions. He emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s long-standing respect for diplomatic relations, noting the nation's consistent development of political dialogue and trade cooperation with countries worldwide since gaining independence.
Zhaparov also highlighted the importance of fostering cooperation with the countries represented by the new ambassadors. He concluded by sending warm greetings and best wishes to the heads of state they represent, wishing them good health, prosperity, and success in the coming year.
