Poll: Majority of Ukrainians Believe War Can Be Won With Ongoing Support

A new survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology shows that 76 per cent of Ukrainians believe the country can achieve victory in the war if military and financial aid continues and sanctions against Russia are intensified.

When asked about the prospects for peace, 18 per cent of respondents said they expect it in 2025, 27 per cent in 2026, while 32 per cent believe peace may only come in 2027 or later, The Caspian Post informs via Ukrainian media.

Meanwhile, 74 per cent of citizens indicated they would support a joint Europe-Ukraine peace plan that freezes the current front line-leaving Russia in de facto control of most occupied Ukrainian territories-provided that neither Ukraine nor the international community recognizes this de jure.

The survey, based on 1,023 respondents, also found that 62 per cent of Ukrainians are prepared to endure the war “for as long as it takes.”
