Türkiye has exported its indigenous ADVENT Combat Management System to Romania, marking the first time the advanced naval command-and-control system has been supplied to a NATO member.
Under the export agreement, the ADVENT system was delivered together with a corvette that will enter service with the Romanian Navy, The Caspian Post reports via Anadolu Agency.
Although ADVENT had previously been exported to several countries outside the Alliance-including Ukraine-this is the first transfer of the system to a NATO ally.
The version supplied to Romania has been customized to meet the operational requirements of the Romanian Navy, differing from the configuration used by Türkiye's naval forces.
Developed by Türkiye's defense industry, ADVENT integrates data from multiple platforms into a single operational picture, enabling key battlefield functions such as threat assessment, target identification, and mission coordination.
The system is also designed for interoperability with allied forces through multiple communication protocols and can be integrated across a wide range of platforms, from patrol boats and warships to ground command centers and unmanned systems.
First introduced into service with the Turkish Navy in 2019, ADVENT has since been deployed across an expanding range of military platforms, becoming one of Türkiye's flagship defense technologies.
