Russia's large-scale drone attack hit multiple regions across Ukraine, with strikes reported in cities including Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, and parts of Kharkiv region.
A total of 215 strike drones were launched from seven directions, including around 140 Shahed-type drones, The Caspian Post reports via Ukrainian media.
Air defense units say 189 drones were intercepted or neutralized, though 24 still reached 13 locations, with debris falling in six additional areas.
In Odesa region, port infrastructure was among the key targets. Officials confirmed fires but said they were quickly extinguished, with no casualties reported, though damage to port facilities occurred.
In Dnipro, explosions sparked multiple fires, damaging residential buildings and vehicles. There were no confirmed fatalities, but assessments are ongoing.
Zaporizhzhia region saw strikes on railway infrastructure, resulting in one death and one injury.
In Sumy region, drones hit residential areas in the Yampil community, causing fires and the death of a civilian whose identity is still being confirmed.
In Kharkiv region, an agricultural enterprise was struck, setting a building on fire, though no casualties were reported.
Emergency services continue to work across affected regions as damage assessments are ongoing following one of the most intense drone attacks in recent weeks.
