Turkish President Thanks Azerbaijan Again for Earthquake Reconstruction Support

President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has once again expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that occurred in February 2023.

Speaking at a press briefing after a Cabinet meeting in Ankara on June 30, the Turkish leader highlighted the recent inauguration of the “Azerbaijan” Quarter in Kahramanmaraş, The Caspian Post reports citing AZERTAC.

“Together with my brother Ilham Aliyev, we inaugurated the “Azerbaijan” Quarter. I would like to once again extend my heartfelt thanks to the people of Azerbaijan, who reached out to support our country from the very first day of the disaster,” Erdoğan said.

The Turkish President also commented on the outcomes of the NATO summit held in The Hague and announced that the leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance will gather in Ankara in 2026.
