Turkish police officers have detained 24 suspects in a large-scale counterterrorism operation targeting links to the DHKP-C organization.
The coordinated operation aimed to dismantle structures connected to the group and was carried out under the supervision of security forces, The Caspian Post reports via TRT Haber.
Simultaneous raids were conducted across eight provinces, including Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Hatay, Erzincan, Tekirdağ, Antalya, and Kocaeli. Police officers identified a total of 37 suspects linked to the investigation.
The individuals were involved in organizational activities, ideological promotion, and public statements associated with the group, and may have been preparing unlawful actions.
During searches at 46 addresses, law enforcement officers confiscated documents and digital materials considered important for the ongoing investigation.
Security operations are continuing as police officers pursue remaining suspects.
The DHKP-C (Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party/Front) is a Marxist-Leninist organization designated as a terrorist group by Türkiye, the United States, the European Union, and several other countries.
