Turkish authorities have declared a yellow-level weather warning across 15 provinces as forecasters predict heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds in several parts of the country.
Localized downpours are expected in inland areas of the Aegean and Mediterranean regions, as well as southern parts of Central Anatolia, The Caspian Post reports via TRT Haber.
The weather alert covers several provinces, including Adana, Antalya, Mersin, Konya, Muğla and Osmaniye, where intense rainfall could lead to disruptions and hazardous conditions.
Meteorologists have also warned of strong winds reaching speeds of 40-60 km/h in the Marmara region, along the North Aegean coast and in parts of Eastern Anatolia.
The deteriorating weather pattern is expected to bring a noticeable drop in temperatures across northern, western and central Türkiye, with readings forecast to fall below seasonal averages.
