Waves of Ukrainian drone attacks killed seven warehouse workers and injured dozens of others overnight, while a separate strike sparked a fire at an oil depot in Russia's Moscow region, regional officials said on Saturday.
Tambov Region Governor Evgeniy Pervyshov said Ukrainian drones struck a warehouse owned by Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, in the city of Kotovsk, about 475 kilometres (295 miles) southeast of Moscow, The Caspian Post reports, citing Reuters.
According to Pervyshov, seven employees working the night shift were killed at the scene, while 25 other people were injured. He added that Russian air defences shot down 28 drones approaching the area.

“If they had achieved their goal, the number of civilian casualties could have been much higher,” Pervyshov wrote on Telegram.
In a separate incident, Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said 24 people were injured after another Ukrainian drone attack targeted a Wildberries warehouse in Elektrostal, east of Moscow.
Wildberries co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Tatyana Kim described it as a “terrible night” for both Russia and the company, expressing condolences to the families of those killed.
Vorobyov also said that falling drone debris caused a fire at an oil depot in the city of Noginsk, also in the Moscow region. He did not provide details about the extent of the damage but said two people were injured and a nearby maternity hospital was evacuated.
