Aliya Yusupova has been re-elected as head of the Kazakhstan Gymnastics Federation for a new four-year term.
According to the Federation, Yusupova has been re-elected as head of the Kazakhstan Gymnastics Federation for a new four-year term during the general meeting of the Federation held in Almaty, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazinform.
Attending the event was the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee, Alimzhan Akayev.
The previous cycle was a success for all of us. Our athletes showed excellent and historic results. For the first time, our athletes competed in the three types of gymnastics: artistic, rhythmic and trampoline gymnastics at the Paris Olympic Games.
Our athletes earned medal in all disciplines at the Asian Games, Asian and world championships as well as the historic ‘silver’ Nariman Kurbanov brought Kazakhstan at the 2024 Olympics.
Medals were also won in acrobatic and aerobic gymnastics at Asian and world championships. Our judges joined the FIG and AGU Committees, said Yusupova.
To note, Aliya Yusupova was first elected the head of the Kazakhstan Gymnastics Federation back in 2021.
