Kyrgyzstan and Bahrain Sign MoU to Boost Cooperation in Sports and Physical Culture

As part of the official visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to the Kingdom of Bahrain, the General Sports Authority (GSA) and the State Agency for Fitness Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in the field of physical education and sports.

The memorandum was signed by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the GSA, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), and on behalf of Kyrgyzstan by Jeenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad emphasised that the signing of the memorandum opens up further opportunities to advance Bahrain’s sports sector by learning from the experiences of friendly countries and benefiting from their expertise. HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad commended the progress achieved in sports development in the Kyrgyz Republic.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad highlighted that the memorandum aligns with the GSA’s strategy to strengthen cooperation with friendly nations in the sports domain, to create opportunities for Bahraini athletes across various disciplines to enhance their skills and benefit from successful international experiences that contribute to the development of the sports sector in the Kingdom.

The memorandum provides for enhanced cooperation in the sports domain through the mutual invitation of specialists to participate in meetings, conferences, training courses, seminars, and educational forums related to physical education and sports. It also includes the exchange of expertise and sports camps, as well as the use of both parties’ experiences in developing the sports sector and discovering and nurturing talent.
