Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin has met in Dushanbe with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi to review the current state of bilateral ties and explore new opportunities for cooperation in economic, cultural, and security spheres.
Both officials emphasized their mutual interest in further strengthening the partnership between the two “friendly nations”, The Caspian Post informs via Tajik media.
The meeting builds on earlier high-level contacts. On May 18 in Tehran, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that relations between Iran and Tajikistan were at an “excellent level,” noting that both countries had already established a strong foundation for expanding cooperation in trade, the economy, science, politics, and security.
Pezeshkian also stressed the importance of creating better conditions for closer collaboration among entrepreneurs, industrial partners, and scholars from both sides.
Muhriddin reaffirmed Tajikistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Iran, highlighting that the agreements reached by the two countries’ leaders provide a solid basis for advancing cooperation in economic, trade, cultural, and tourism sectors. He added that the visa-free regime between the two nations is already helping boost tourism and strengthen people-to-people connections.
The latest meeting signals continued momentum in Tajik-Iranian relations as both sides look to broaden their strategic and economic engagement.
