Turkmenistan and South Korea Discuss Construction Sector Cooperation

Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the City of Arkadag of Turkmenistan, Deryageldi Orazov, held discussions with First Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea, Jin Hyun Hwan, during a visit to Seoul.

The parties focused on the prospects for joint cooperation in developing the concept of a "smart city" and the construction of modern industrial facilities, according to the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Government of Turkmenistan, The Caspian Post reports citing Turkmen portal.

According to the department, the meeting confirmed the intentions of both countries to expand bilateral partnership. Particular emphasis was placed on the exchange of advanced Korean experience in the development of "smart cities", in particular with regard to the city of Arkadag.

During the visit, the Turkmen delegation got acquainted with the work of industrial facilities operated by leading Korean companies.

Jin Hyun Hwan emphasized the world leadership and rich experience of the Republic of Korea in the field of industrial construction, expressing hope for support from the government of Turkmenistan in the implementation of joint projects.
