Belarusian auto glass manufacturer KUVO plans to launch a new production facility in Uzbekistan.
Director of the company Vladimir Kulbenkov explained that Uzbekistan was chosen due to its growing automotive industry and high demand for components, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The new plant will produce up to 500,000 sets of auto glass annually, including products for passenger vehicles and specialized machinery.
The director emphasized that the glass manufacturing business remains stable and less vulnerable to market fluctuations. A significant portion of KUVO’s products is already supplied to Russia and used in major car assembly plants.
Kulbenkov also highlighted the need to develop the entrepreneurial environment and expand investment credit opportunities. He suggested that members of the Entrepreneurship Development Council oversee specific projects to ensure their successful implementation with state support.
“Sustainable economic growth is possible when business initiative and expertise are combined with state resources and support,” the director stressed.
The opening of KUVO’s plant in Uzbekistan is expected to create new jobs and strengthen the country’s position in the production of automotive components.
