President of Finland Alexander Stubb will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on October 30-31, 2025, for high-level talks with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev focused on strengthening bilateral relations, addressing regional geopolitical issues in Europe and Central Asia, and enhancing cooperation on multilateral diplomacy.
During the visit, President Stubb will hold high-level talks with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on October 31 in Tashkent, The Caspian Post informs via the Finnish President’s Office.
In addition to official meetings, President Stubb will take part in several public engagements:
A Finland-Uzbekistan business seminar aimed at expanding economic ties
A lecture at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy
A roundtable with foreign policy experts to explore strategic cooperation opportunities
The Finnish delegation will include Ville Skinnari, Member of Parliament and Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Uzbekistan, along with business leaders from Finland’s trade and industry sectors, underscoring the economic focus of the visit.
