Tajikistan has emerged as one of the most popular destinations for Uzbek tourists in the first five months of 2025.
Between January and May, approximately 2.7 million Uzbek citizens traveled abroad for tourism, The Caspian Post reports, citing Tajik media.
Of these, over 500,000 visited Tajikistan, making it the second most favored destination after Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan remained the top choice, attracting 1.2 million Uzbek tourists during this period. Kazakhstan ranked third, with nearly 500,000 visitors from Uzbekistan.
Other notable destinations for Uzbek travelers included Saudi Arabia (145,000 visitors), Russia (124,000), Turkey (88,000), the United Arab Emirates (71,000), Egypt (30,000), Thailand (16,000), and Vietnam (15,000).
The overall outbound tourism from Uzbekistan increased by 26.4 per cent compared to the same period last year, representing a growth of more than 570,000 travelers.
