Nodir Ganiyev, Uzbekistan’s newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Principality of Monaco, with residence in Paris, officially presented his credentials to Prince Albert II.
During the ceremony, Prince Albert II praised Uzbekistan’s impressive reforms under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, particularly highlighting the country’s ambitious renewable energy projects and its commitment to transitioning toward a green economy, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
The Prince noted Uzbekistan’s goal to generate 54 per cent of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030 as a significant milestone.
Prince Albert II also congratulated Uzbekistan for hosting the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, underscoring the event as a reflection of the nation’s openness to international collaboration and active foreign policy.
In turn, Ganiyev expressed commitment to enhancing diplomatic and bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Monaco.
Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Monaco were established on November 29, 2013. Before his Monaco appointment, Ganiyev served as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to France, presenting his credentials to President Emmanuel Macron in November 2024. Since May this year, he has also held the position of Ambassador to Portugal.
