A delegation from Uzbekistan's Namangan Region, led by governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov, is on a working visit to Afghanistan, aiming to expand trade, boost exports, and strengthen investment cooperation.

During the visit to Kabul, the delegation held high-level talks with Nooruddin Azizi, Afghanistan’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The sides discussed key areas for collaboration and explored new opportunities to enhance economic ties.

A major highlight of the trip was a business forum that brought together entrepreneurs from both regions. The event featured business-to-business (B2B) meetings that led to agreements on several concrete projects, signaling growing interest in cross-border partnerships.

Talks focused on strategic sectors including jewelry production, agriculture, food processing, and construction materials-industries seen as key drivers of future cooperation.

The delegation also met with Sayed Karim Hashimi, head of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, further reinforcing institutional links between the two sides.

One of the most significant outcomes of the visit was the opening of an official representative office of the Namangan regional administration in Kabul, where the first coordination meeting has already taken place.
