Uzbekistan Expands Citrus Imports Amid Growing Domestic Demand

From January to November 2025, Uzbekistan imported 23,800 tons of oranges, totaling around $12 million.

Citrus imports rose 7.8 per cent compared to the same period last year, reflecting growing domestic demand for fruit products, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The main supplier was Iran, providing 12,200 tons-more than half of the total volume. Other major exporters included the UAE (3,600 tons), Egypt (2,900 tons), China (2,300 tons), and South Africa (2,000 tons). The remaining 813.6 tons came from other countries.
