Uzbekistan Joins Peace Council: What We Know So Far

Uzbekistan has taken a new step onto the global diplomatic stage by joining the Peace Council, an international initiative launched by US President Donald Trump to address major global conflicts.

Uzbek Leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev left Uzbekistan for Davos on a working visit to participate in the signing of the Board of Peace charter, a new international peace initiative launched by Trump and endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803 in support of the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The Peace Council, initiated under Trump’s broader peace strategy and backed by the United Nations resolution, aims to promote long-term stability and conflict resolution beyond Gaza by uniting member states around joint peacebuilding efforts.

Uzbekistan’s role as a founding participant reflects its growing diplomatic engagement on global security issues and will be formalized during the Davos ceremony.

President Mirziyoyev accepted Trump’s invitation to join the council as a founding state, underscoring Tashkent’s interest in contributing to international peace initiatives and strengthening its global diplomatic profile.
