During the International Forum “From Poverty to Prosperity” in Namangan, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has held talks with Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vice President Yingming Yang on the development of a new Strategic Partnership Program.
The discussions focused on practical steps to deepen cooperation under Uzbekistan’s strategy of irreversible reforms, The Caspian Post reports via the Uzbek president’s press service.
President Mirziyoyev highlighted the strong collaboration with the ADB, noting that the bank’s project portfolio in Uzbekistan now exceeds $14 billion, spanning green energy, transport, digital transformation, education, and other priority sectors.
He stressed that the new Strategic Partnership Program will encompass infrastructure development, public-private partnerships, business support, social sector projects, and the establishment of a joint investment platform.
The leaders also reviewed preparations for hosting the Asian Development Bank’s Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors in Uzbekistan next year.
