Tourism in Uzbekistan has seen a significant boost, with the number of foreign visitors rising by 48.2% compared to the previous year, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Between January and May 2025, Uzbekistan welcomed 4.2 million foreign visitors for tourism purposes, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
This figure is 1.4 million more than during the same period in 2024, marking a 48.2% year-on-year increase.

This means that over a two-year period, the number of Kyrgyz tourists has doubled. Chinese tourism has also seen dramatic growth: only 9,600 Chinese tourists visited in early 2023, but that number has increased more than fivefold by 2025.
