Uzbekistan, Russia Strengthen Economic, Industrial Ties

In Tashkent, Governor of Uzbekistan's Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov has met with Vitaly Khotsenko, Governor of Russia’s Omsk Region, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Bozorov thanked the guests for the visit and emphasized that strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Russia continue growing, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The meeting focused on enhancing regional collaboration: Fergana Region actively cooperates with Russian partners in textiles, energy, petrochemicals, furniture production, services, and urban development projects. Over 165 joint ventures with Russian investors operate in the region, providing a strong platform for major projects and industrial cooperation.

Governor Khotsenko highlighted the dynamic economic and industrial ties between the countries and expressed readiness to further strengthen collaboration with Fergana Region. He also noted strong demand in Russia for Uzbek fruits and agricultural products, emphasizing opportunities created by the fruit processing and logistics center in Kuvand.

The parties agreed to further expand cooperation and implement joint programs and projects.
