On the sidelines of the International Forum “Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies in CIS Countries,” senior officials from Uzbekistan and Russia held a high-level meeting focused on advancing regional cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI).
Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, met with Grigory Borisenko, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The two sides engaged in discussions aimed at deepening collaboration in AI development, sharing advanced expertise, and aligning strategic goals for digital transformation in both countries.
One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the agreement to jointly develop a comprehensive two-year roadmap. This document will define concrete steps for the adoption and integration of AI technologies across public and private sectors in Uzbekistan and Russia.
Both parties also expressed a shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in scientific research, launching joint innovation projects, and enhancing the legal and regulatory frameworks that govern artificial intelligence.
