Uzbekistan has taken another step toward modernizing its legal system by studying South Korea’s advanced experience in legal digitalization and artificial intelligence.
An Uzbek delegation visited South Korea as part of the 2025-2026 Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP), a cooperation initiative focused on exchanging expertise in governance, innovation, and digital transformation, The Caspian Post reports via UzDaily.
During the visit, participants explored how South Korea uses digital technologies in drafting, updating, and managing legislation, as well as modern systems for delivering legal information to the public.
Special attention was given to the integration of AI and digital solutions into the legal sector - an area South Korea is rapidly advancing through government institutions and legal-tech companies.
The Uzbek delegation held meetings with representatives of South Korea’s National Assembly, Constitutional Court, Ministry of Government Legislation, Korea Legal Information Center, and several IT firms specializing in legal technologies.
One of the key outcomes of the trip was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Uzbekistan’s National Legal Information Center “Adolat” under the Ministry of Justice and the Korea Legal Information Center.
The agreement outlines cooperation in the use, exchange, and dissemination of legal information, while also opening the door for future joint projects involving AI-powered legal technologies and digital governance tools.
South Korean officials highlighted the importance of the meetings, describing them as a meaningful contribution to the development of digital legal solutions and artificial intelligence in the legal sphere.
