Uzbekistan is set to initiate discussions with the United States aimed at simplifying visa procedures for its citizens, potentially making travel to the U.S. more accessible.
At the same time, the government of Uzbekistan is introducing a visa-free regime for U.S. citizens, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kun.uz.
According to a presidential decree, U.S. nationals will be able to enter Uzbekistan without a visa for up to 30 days. This new regulation will take effect on June 1, 2025.
The decree also instructs relevant authorities to initiate negotiations with the United States to ease visa requirements for citizens of Uzbekistan. Following the conclusion of these talks, proposals are to be submitted based on the outcomes.
