Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan Launch First-Ever Cargo Shipments with Electronic Permits

Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan have completed their first cargo shipments using electronic permit forms.

According to the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), that digital technologies are successfully being applied in Azerbaijan for international road freight transport, The Caspian Post reports citing local media.

This process also includes the digitization of "Permit" forms, which the countries exchange on a bilateral basis.

Following Türkiye and Uzbekistan, cargo shipments using the "e-Permit" - electronic permit form - have now also been carried out with Kyrgyzstan.

A cargo vehicle belonging to a Kyrgyzstan transport company, carrying transit cargo on the Georgia-Kyrgyzstan route through the territory of our country, arrived in Azerbaijan.

Vehicles belonging to Azerbaijan have also been issued electronic permit forms to carry out international freight transport to Kyrgyzstan. In the coming days, bilateral international freight shipments on the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan route using electronic permit forms are expected to be carried out.
